This project will repair and maintain safety fencing along the South Side Trail. The fencing was originally installed to act as a safety buffer to separate trail users from steep riverbanks and railroad tracks. The project includes volunteer events to repair and maintain several sections of this fencing that have recently begun to deteriorate. The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund provides fencing materials and tools for the volunteers to use in repairing and maintaining the fencing. Grant awarded October 2009 |
