This Eagle Scout project built a pavilion on the new Peter’s Township branch of the Montour Trail in Washington County.

The pavilion is in a small field just off the trail over looking a waterfall and hill. The project is about a half of a mile in-between Valleybrook Road and the parking lot there. The project includes a 10' by 12' shingled pavilion to shelter a standard sized picnic table.  

The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund supported purchase of material to build the pavilion.

No worthy project with willing volunteers should founder for lack of tools or materials.

The Trail Volunteer Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation celebrates the efforts of the volunteers who are developing multi-use bicycle and walking trails by providing tools and materials they need for projects that develop and maintain the network of multiuse trails in western Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
